GUATEMALA: Solidarity and campaign news

Over the summer, volunteers helped raise nearly £2,000 by giving 306 hours of their time at Workers Beer events a round Britain. The funds will be used to support a speaker tour in 2008.
Lobbying has included meetings with the British ambassador to Guatemala and the Guatemalan ambassador to Britain, as well as Guatemala’s vice-president and foreign minister.
The Guatemala Solidarity Network continues its work to recruit international accompaniers and distribute urgent actions across the GSN network.
